  • More Info

Discover the home, studio and garden of Barbara Hepworth, one of Britain’s most significant twentieth-century artists.

Hepworth lived and worked at Trewyn Studio in St Ives for more than 25 years. Now the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden, it remains much as she left it, offering a remarkable insight into her life and work.

Step into the garden and encounter sculptures among the plants and trees, many still in the places Hepworth chose for them. See how her work responds to its surroundings and experience the sculptures as she intended – outdoors, in changing light.

Inside, explore Hepworth’s working spaces, tools and displays tracing her life and career, and discover more about how she developed and made her work.

Just a short walk away, Tate St Ives Tate St Ivescontinues the story of art in the town. Perched above Porthmeor Beach, the gallery brings together works by artists connected to St Ives with changing exhibitions of modern and contemporary art from around the world. Tate St Ives requires a separate ticket.
